Lawren B. Deeter
Lawren B. Deeter, 84, formerly of Tidioute, died Friday Morning March 7, 2014 at the Sugar Creek Station, Franklin, PA. He was born in Franklin, July 21, 1929, a son of the late Elmer and Arvilla Miller Deeter.
He served in the US Army in Korea. He had worked for Klasen Oil for 30 years, retiring June 21, 1991. He had attended Franklin High School and was a life member of the Pequignot/Yeager VFW Post 8803 of Tidioute, PA. He also served as the parking meter attendant for several years in Tidioute. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Larry Deeter a stepson William Hulings.
Survivers include his wife, Cleo Turner Deeter, Tidioute, a son, Steve Deeter, Leetonia, OH, Stepsons, Charles Young, Ron Young and his wife Karen, Rick Whitling, all of Franklin, PA, three step daughters: Mrs. Dennis (Polly Nicholson, Diana Spenser, both of Tidioute, Susan Martin, Kentucky, three step sons, George, Byron and Raymond Hulings all of Tidioute and many Grandchildren, Nieces, Grand Nieces & nephews.
Friends will be received at the James M. Higgins Funeral Home, 3 Elm Street, Tidioute, Sunday, March 9, 2014 from 2 until 4 P.M. at which time a Funeral Service will be conducted in the Funeral Home at 4:00 O’clock with Rev. Ralph Culp, Pastor of the Sanford and Grand Valley United Methodist Churches, officiating.
