Ralph L. Hoffman, 82, of Warren, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2014, at Warren General Hospital. Ralph was born August 30, 1931, in Harbor Creek, PA, the son of the late Joseph and Florence Clark Hoffman.
Ralph was a 1949 graduate of Warren High School. He then served in the US Army from 1952 to 1954. Ralph was employed by Bell Telephone Company, first as a lineman and later retiring from management in 1986. He was a member of the Elks Club, Moose Club, Eagles Club and a former member of the American Legion. He was also an avid golfer, and enjoyed spending Wednesdays driving his motor home to and from golf with his friends.
He is survived by one daughter, Becci Hoffman, of Warren, PA; two brothers, Dave Hoffman, and wife, Angie, of Erie, PA and Ken Hoffman, Barbie, of Warren, PA; two grandchildren, Vincent Hoffman and Riana Hoffman; two greatgrandchildren, Konnor Hoffman and Laetynn Hoffman; one sisterinlaw, Mona Rosequist, and husband, Theodore, of Russell, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death on October 6, 2012, by his wife, Miriam “Patsy” Hoffman, whom he married on June 25, 1955, his daughter, Cynthia Hoffman, his son, Joseph Hoffman, and his brother, Donald Hoffman.
Friends will be received at the Peterson Blick Funeral Home, Inc, 1003 Penn Ave., E., Warren, PA, on Monday, March 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held there on Tuesday, March 11, at 11:00, with Rev. Marcus Briggs, chaplain and pastor, Warren General Hospital and Rouse Home, officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
