Warren musicians to present ‘Ides of March’

Bryan Eckenrode, musical director and conductor of the Warren Philharmonic, will lead the musicians in the concert at 4 p.m., on Sunday, March 9, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.

The program features five marches: “Alla Marcia” by Sibelius; “Perry’s Victory March” by William Dressler (arr. by Howard Lyon from Edinboro); “Marche Trionmphale” by Maurice Baron; “March from ‘The Love for Three Oranges'” by Prokofieff; “Marche Slave” by Tchaikovsky, plus pieces by Mendelssohn, Jarnefelt, Marchetti and Gershwin. This will be a truly eclectic program.

Tickets will be sold at the door. Prices are: adults (age 19 to 59); seniors (60 plus); students (age 12 to 18); and age 11 and younger get in free. Donations will be taken at the door. For more information call 723-9110.
