D10 playoffs

The District 10 Class A semifinal game between Eisenhower and Cochranton will be played at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Meadville High School. It is the first of two games at Meadville, with the Class AAA semifinal between Strong Vincent and Farrell to follow. Here is the complete schedule of second round playoff games (all boys games are on Tuesday and all girls games are on Wednesday):

Winter trap

Kalbfus took first in this week’s Penn York Winter Trap League action at the Carroll Rod and Gun Club with a team score of 338. Colton Black shot the lone 50 and is currently in second place for the season. Junior shooter, Michael McDunn, is holding on to the first place position.

Tiffany Decker (45) was the high lady this week, Zak Wheeler (44) the high sub junior and Jason Gustafson (49) the high junior. Denny Joy (48) was the high vet, Dick Starks (45) the high senior vet and Jack Kostkas (48) was the high super senior vet.

The final regular shoot of the season will be at the Brokenstraw Fish and Game Club next Sunday. Field Day will be held at Sugar Grove on Mar. 9. Sign-ups will take place from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.

Warren Area High School graduate Tyler Fantaskey tallied 17 points, three rebounds, and an assist in Pitt-Bradford’s 84-62 mens basketball win over Franciscan. The Panthers (15-7, 11-7) will host La Roche College in the first round of the AMCC Tournament on Tuesday, Feb. 25.
