SWIMMING: Warren divers fare well at D10 Championships

ERIE-Warren senior diver Allie Sedon took home a fourth-place finish to lead the Dragons at this year’s District 10 Class AAA Diving Championships at Penn State Behrend.

Sedon racked up a total score of 266.24 on 11 dives in her final high school performance.

Teammate Christine Kuzminski finished sixth with a score of 214.45, though she failed a pair of dives and did not complete another. Both failed dives were ones that the sophomore learned “days ago” according to Warren swim coach Jeff Walters.

For the boys, Drew Huey finished sixth out of 24 competitors with a score of 266.24 and first-year diver Tyler Mealy finished ninth with 235.70 in 10 counted dives.

“Our team did very well and did their very best,” said Warren diving coach Brian Waterfield. “I am very proud of each of the divers who went up against very stiff competition this year and did very well.”

The District 10 Swimming Championships will be held this weekend at Penn State Behrend.
