GIRLS HOOPS: Lady Eagles fall to Conneaut

CONNEAUTVILLE-District 10 Class A playoff-bound Youngsville fell to Class AAA playoff-bound Conneaut in a Region 3 matchup on Monday, 54-32, in the final regular season game for both teams.

The Lady Eagles held strong early on, but managed just four points in the second half as they fall to 7-15 overall and 4-8 in region-play.

“If you take away our bad start, we actually outscored them in the first half,” said Youngsville coach Dave Becker. “I don’t know if we got tired or what, but we need to solve our fourth quarter problem. We had way too many turnovers around the perimeter tonight and that will be the end of us against a pretty athletic team like (Farrell).”

Kennedy Cratty played a solid game in defeat scoring 16 points for the Lady Eagles, who open the Class A playoffs against Farrell Saturday at Oil City High School.
