Michael Anthony Tomassoni of Frederick, Colorado died February 4, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family after a courageous bout with cancer.
Mike was born on March 27, 1967 in Warren, PA a son of Daniel and Nancy (Mulvey) Tomassoni.
He was raised and educated in Warren and earned an Associate’s Degree from Williamsport Community College. He was a valued mold maker at PTA Plastics in Boulder and a passionate man who pursued his interests with great zeal. He enjoyed family time and coached his son’s baseball team. He was an avid hunter and a bass guitar player in many bands. As a child he enjoyed wrestling, basketball, downhill skiing and football. He raced motocross as a teenager graduating to Harley Davidson’s in his adult years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and active at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church serving in the choir and volunteering when needed. He was a faithfilled man committed to his family and community.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Catherine, a sister, Anne Marie Tomassoni, his maternal grandparents Edmund and Chloe (McIntyre) Mulvey.
Mike is survived by his loving wife, Jill Hepp Tomassoni, whom he married on July 27, 2002 in Frederick; their four children, Anthony, Gianna, Jacob, and Angelica. He is also survived by his parents of Warren; a brother, Joseph and his wife Janine (Lopus); grand parents Anthony and Alice (Burdick) Tomassoni also of Warren and by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other extended family members. His family and friends will greatly miss him.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held February 11, 2014 in Frederick. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at Holy Redeemer Church in Warren, PA on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1:00 P.M. with a reception to follow.
