The menu for the week will be: Monday CLOSED, Presidents Day. Thursday, chicken cutlets and spaghetti, salad, rolls and choice of orange pineapple or Rocky Mountain Raspberry ice cream for dessert. Friday’s buffet features ‘Taco salad’ among other goodies and pudding for dessert. We must have a 24-hour reservation for meals here at the Center, you can leave a message on the answering machine for your reservation.
Join us for another lunch at the Bowlaway Lanes and a game of ‘ramp’ bowling for the afternoon, the bus will begin picking up at 12:30. Remember if the schools are closed for weather we will be closed and also our day trips will also be cancelled if using our bus.
Need your taxes done? This free service is done for seniors and low-income individuals and by appointment only. The VITA volunteer people have been tested and approved for this service. If you would like an appointment call 968-5667. If you need a Property tax or Rent Rebate completed I can prepare this any day after 1 p.m. We also have the LIHEAP program; call to see if you are within the guideline for this rebate.
We are beginning to fill our Easter basket for the spring raffle, if you would like to donate something give us a call or stop in, we welcome all items or canned (not outdated) foods. We will have this available at the Craft & Bake sale at the Sheffield Fire Hall Spring April 5 Craft Show.
We are selling booklets for ‘Community Day’ at the Bon Ton on Feb. 28 and March 1, Friday and Saturday. Just ask or call now for your savings booklet and help the Center with your $5 donation.

Bethany Lutheran Church
Bethany Lutheran Church will be celebrating its 132nd birthday with a luncheon after worship service on Sunday, Feb. 16th. All are welcome and birthday cake and light lunch will be served.
Sheffield United Methodist Church
Bring your sweetheart to a spaghetti dinner at the Sheffield United Methodist today from 5 to 7 p.m. For a donation you can enjoy some great food and fellowship.
March 2 at 7 p.m. Praise and Worship Service will feature Lori Avenali on handbells. Refreshments to follow. Come join us for an hour of fellowship.
Sadie Hawkins Dance next Friday. JH Volleyball practices officially begin on Monday. Any student planning to participate in spring sports should be handing in paperwork and participation fees for JH track, Varsity Track, or Softball. School play practices are in full swing. PSSA prep is occurring daily at the middle level. High school retest scores from the Keystone Assessment will be released in about a month. There are several field trips this month. Tenth grade is up first for a mini-trip to WAHS for a history presentation from the Robert H. Jackson Center. Permission slips are out!
SAVES PTO Fundraiser
For sale: Memorial or Honorary Bricks to be placed at the entry of the new elementary addition. 4×8 have 1-3 lines of engraved print, 20 characters per line without clip art or 14 with – $30 without clip art, $40 with. 8×8 have 1-6 lines of engraved print, 20 characters per line; clip art on these will be placed where the manufacturer feels it best fits with the lettering- $60 without clip art, $70 with. SAVES PTO officers can get order forms (Tracy Suppa Leichtenberger, Mara Johnson, Amanda Kyler, Stacey Lane Lobdell, Julie Feltner-Finch, Alicia Gray). Orders are due the end of February and paid in full at that time. Order forms are also available at Allegheny Valley Elementary School in Clarendon.
