Bonnie J. Jewell, 68, of Stoney Run Rd, Pittsfield, Pa., died on Thursday, February 13, 2014, at Warren General Hospital, Warren, Pa.
She was born on June 1, 1945, in Venus, Pa., a daughter of the late Earl and Bernice Fox Stover.
Bonnie was raised and educated in the Torpedo and Youngsville areas and graduated from Youngsville High School in 1964. She then worked in Warren at Allegheny Glass Seal and Lauger’s Potato Farm in Lottsville. Bonnie then married and stayed home to raise and care for her family.
She was a former member of Wrightsville Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. Bonnie enjoyed crafts, plastic canvas, reading and doing word search puzzles.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Glenn and William Stover.
Bonnie is survived by her husband, Edward A. Jewell, whom she married on April 23, 1966 in Wrightsville, Pa.; a daughter, Melissa Jewell and her companion Tom Eyler of Pittsfield, Pa.; a son, James Jewell and his wife Marlene of Spring Creek, Pa.; three sisters, Dessie Stover of Youngsville, Pa., Sarah Confer and her husband Chuck of Warren, Pa., and Nancy Parker and her husband Floyd “Bud” of Lottsville, Pa.; and two brothers, Thomas Stover and his wife Rose of Torpedo, Pa., and Lawrence “Skip” Stover and his wife Karen of Starbrick, Pa.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, Katie and Mikayla Eyler and Bree and Blake Jewell, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call at the Bracken Funeral Home, 315 N. Center St., Corry, Pa., on Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m., and attend the funeral service there on Monday at 11 a.m. Rev. Marcus Briggs will officiate.
Burial will be in Spring Creek Cemetery, Spring Creek, Pa.
