Limestone Twp.

Bad checks. Warren-based state police said on Jan. 9 Terri Hulse, 39, Tidioute, passed a check to the Tippy Canoe Inn, Tidioute, for $64.76. The check was returned marked “not sufficient funds.” Police said a certified letter sent to Hulse giving her the opportunity to correct the ‘insufficient fund’ balance was returned. Police said Hulse was cited for bad checks through District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth’s office.

Mead Twp.

Simple assault. Warren-based state police said Wayne Spicer, 42, Tiona, was arrested for an incident of simple assault which occurred between 9 and 11 p.m. on Feb. 9 on Six Mile Road. police said the victim was a 28-year-old female from Tiona. Police said Spicer was arraigned in front of District Justice Laura Bauer. Bail was set at $10,000, unsecured and Spicer was released.

DUI. Warren-based state police said on Feb. 12, at 12:12 a.m. Randy Snyder, 26, Tiona, was eastbound on Route 6, negotiating a left hand curve. Police said Snyder lost control of his vehicle, traveled across the westbound lane and struck a snowbank off the western berm. Police said Snyder was found to be under the influence of alcohol; he was subsequently arrested for DUI and several summary traffic violations.

Crash. Warren-based police responded to a two-vehicle accident at 11:14 a.m. Feb. 10 on Route 6, east of Mead Blvd. According to police, Gerald McFadden, 51, Ludlow, was eastbound on Route 6 in his Dodge Ram 3500 and was negotiating a slight left-hand curve. Police said McFadden traveled off the roadway onto the southern shoulder in a southeast direction and his vehicdle traveled approximately 45 feet as it rotated in a clockwise direction. Police said McFadden’s vehicle struck a Chevrolet Trailblazer which was stuck in the snow from sliding off the roadway just prior to McFadden’s vehicle. Police said McFadden’s Trailblazer overturned onto its left side and rolled one complete rotation as it traveled approximately 60 feet before stopping. Police said McFadden was charged with roadways laned for traffic.

Pittsfield Twp.

Theft. Warren-based state police said between 10 p.m. Feb. 11 and 1 a.m. Feb. 12 someone took a 2006 Polaris snowmobile owned by Dan Miller, Spring Creek, without permission. Police said it was parked outside Double D’s Bar, Garland. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Crime Stoppers.
