GIRLS HOOPS: Lady Lions win 6th straight

After starting 2-5 on the year, WCCS’ girls basketball team won its sixth straight on Friday, 53-30 over CCSI at WCCS.

“They keep improving,” said WCCS coach Tom Jones, whose Lady Lions are 8-5 overall. “We came out in a press… and got a lot of girls a lot of playing time throughout the game.”

WCCS led 20-2 after one quarter.

“We keep working on fundamentals and trying to improve each game,” he said.

Allyssa Kerr led WCCS with 14 points and Kaitlin Weidner added 12.
