BOYS HOOPS: Split series: Tidioute Charter routs WCCS for 2nd win of season

Tidioute Charter started on a 21-1 run against the WCCS Lions, and went on to win by a score of 70-34 Wednesday night at Warren County Christian School.

Tidioute now sits at 2-11, while the Lions fall to 1-10 on the year.

“It was a nice win for us, Warren County Christian played hard,” said Bulldogs coach Dave Manning. “It’s good to get one coming off a tough loss. We’ve had a nice five game stretch, and our foul shooting has been getting much better. That’s one of the things we need to keep improving moving forward.”

Pat Thompson led Tidioute with 15 points, and controlled the boards for much of the game along with fellow forward Jordan Yeager. Travis McLaughlin was next in line with 14 points, and Ben Kightlinger added 12.

Eric Sorensen paced the Lions with 11 points.

Tidioute returns to action on Tuesday, hitting the road to take on Calvary Baptist in Meadville before playing three straight home games on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. WCCS takes on CCSI at home on Friday for Parents Night. The boys varsity game is set to begin at 4:30 p.m.
