Petrex, Inc. announces Gray promoted to president

Petrex, Inc. has announced the promotion of Daniel C. Gray to president, effective Jan. 1.

Gray is a Warren native and a 1981 graduate of Warren Area High School. In 1986, he graduated from Clarion University of Pennsylvania with highest honors. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, with an Economics major and a Management minor. Gray has been employed by Petrex, Inc. since 1994 serving as sales coordinator, sales director and vice president.

Petrex designs, manufactures and installs internal floating roofs for bulk fuel storage tanks and floating and fixed covers for API oil water separators in refining applications. Petrex is located in Warren and operates locally, nationally, and internationally. Petrex was founded by William Blumquist in 1972 with the invention of the full surface contact aluminum honeycomb floating panel design that reduces evaporative product losses and fugitive emissions of hazardous air pollutants from storage applications while providing superior fire safety.

Gray and his wife, Michelle, live in Warren along with their daughter Amanda. He is the son of Janet Whitmire and the late Bernard Gray.
