The following area students have been named to the fall 2013 dean’s list at St. Bonaventure University:

Mariah Wolford, a fourth-year student from Tidioute, majoring in history;

Trystan Rushia, a first-year student from Warren, majoring in journalism-mass communication;

Nicholas Papalia, a fourth-year student from Warren, majoring in mathematics;

Sarah Southwell, a fourth-year student from Warren, majoring in sociology;

Andrew Bevevino, a third-year student from Warren, majoring in strategic communication and digital media; and

Joseph Yaegle, a fourth-year student from Youngsville, majoring in sport studies.

Preston Barrett of Russell was selected as a student marshal for the fall 2013 commencement ceremony at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College. He represented the School of Humanities and Social Sciences. Barrett earned a degree in psychology and another in communication. The ceremony was held Dec. 20 at the Junker Center on the Penn State Behrend campus. More than 200 degrees were conferred.

Sydney Paris and Emily Sherman, both of Warren, were named to dean’s list for the fall 2013 semester at Ithaca College for the fall 2013 semester.

Two local students were named to the dean’s list for the fall 2013 semester at Lycoming College, Williamsport: Junior Brittany Summers of Warren and freshman Hannah Vile, of Sheffield. The dean’s list is issued at the close of each semester in recognition of superior scholarship. Students make the dean’s list if they complete at least 12 semester hours and earn a minimum grade point average of 3.50 for the semester.
