Jack D. Kuntz, age 61, of East Hickory, PA, died on Friday, January 31, 2014 at the Meadville Medical Center, Meadville, PA. He was born February 14, 1952 in Warren, PA, son of the late Jack J. and Frieda M. (Shawley) Kuntz.
On February 24, 1973 in East Hickory, he married Brenda Y. (Littlefield) Kuntz, who survives.
Jack was employed for 23 years with the Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission at the Tionesta Hatchery where he operated heavy equipment and worked in maintenance until he retired in August of 2013. He also helped his father in the family business, Kuntz Gravel and Excavating.
Jack served his country in the US Army during Vietnam, was a disabled veteran and was a life member of the DAV (Disabled American Veterans). He also was a member of the Sheffield Rod and Gun Club, the National Rifle Association, the French Creek Archeology and the Northfork Archeology. Jack enjoyed auctions, hunting, and searching for arrow heads.
In addition to his wife, surviving are a son, Clint D. Kuntz and his wife Jamie of East Hickory; a daughter, Jennifer M. Anderson of Sheffield, PA; six grandsons, Kyle, Daniel, and Colton Kuntz, all of East Hickory and Cody, Casey and Logan Anderson, all of Sheffield; and several cousins.
There will be no public visitation. All services held will be private. Burial will be at the Kuntz Farm Cemetery in East Hickory.
