Children ages 8-16 are invited to the Warren Public Library’s Slater Room on the third floor for Crafty Saturday on Feb.8 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The children’s department has accumulated a motley collection of crafts left over from previous programs. Participants can choose among these crafts and let loose their creative skills. Crafts range from decorating wooden bird houses and boxes, T-shirts, masks, butterflies, river rock, beads, making rubber band bracelets and other assorted crafts. Preregistration is appreciated. Registration forms available in the children’s room next to the staff computer, or call 723-4650 and leave a message for children’s librarian Susan Slater.
Mystery Monday will be held in the children’s department at Warren Public Library between 4 and 7 p.m. Join Kelley Wood in the children’s room to see what mystery she has in store. Each week will feature a different activity, game, contest, puzzle … could be anything. You just have to visit the Library to discover and solve. Watch each Monday for clues and information on the whiteboard in the children’s room. Mystery Monday will occur each Monday (except Feb. 17 and April 21) till the last Monday in April.
On Saturday, Feb. 1, members of the Allegheny Outdoor Club (AOC) will take part in the Eagle Watch Day at the Wildlife Viewing Platform at Big Bend Visitor Center at Kinzua Dam.
