Bench Warrant. State Constables arrested Diane Hesslink, 32, of Warren, on Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. on a bench warrant issued for driving without insurance. Hesslink was taken before District Justice Glenn Carlson and released pending further court action.
Arrest Warrant. State Constables arrested Michael Akers, 46, of Sheffield, on Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. on an arrest warrant issued for nuisances of PA sewage facilities act. Akers was taken before District Justice Glenn Carlson and released pending further court action.
Simple Assault. Warren-based state police investigated a simple assault that occurred on Jan. 19 at 2:30 a.m. at a residence on Jaybuck Lane. According to the police report, the accused, Nathan Robinson, 30, entered the bedroom where the 57-year-old victim was sleeping and struck him several times in the face, neck, and head area causing him to lose consciousness for a short period of time. Police report after the victim regained consciousness, the victim drove himself to Warren General Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Burglary. Warren-based state police report between Nov. 1, 2013 and Jan. 19, 2014, an unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the victim’s garage located at 16590 Rt. 62, by breaking a door frame. Upon entry, the suspect(s) proceeded to remove a red and black Huskee brand, 22-ton log splitter, in an unknown manner before closing the door and fleeing the scene. The log splitter is valued at $1,200 and the damage to the door frame is estimated at $150. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Warren-based state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Criminal Mischief. Warren-based state police report on Jan. 16 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., someone used a projectile to break a window at the back of a residence of Four Mile Rd. Damage is estimated at $150. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Warren-based state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Sugar Grove Twp.
Crash. Warren-based state police report on Jan. 18 at 2:27 p.m., Byron Jesperson, 59, of Russell was traveling westbound on Rt. 957 when he lost control, crossed the eastbound lane, and struck a boulder causing disabling damage to his vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The driver, who was not injured in the crash, was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
