Julia E. Nobles, 90, of Pleasant Drive, Warren, PA, died on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at Warren Manor.

Julia was born November 4, 1923 in Warren, PA, the daughter of the late Jessie O. and Minnie M. Ferrie Snyder. She was a lifelong area resident and a graduate of Warren High School. Julia was first and foremost a homemaker, and later obtained a Real Estate license and enjoyed the profession with great success. She was an active member of the Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, where she served in the Vestry. Julia was also active with her children, serving on the Pleasant Township PTA, and was a past President.

She loved the Allegheny river, and as a child, she spent summers at the cottage on the island in Shipman’s Eddy, and continued that tradition with her own family. A nature lover, she also enjoyed bird watching, and gardening. Julia will always be remembered for her outgoing personality, her love for family, and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by three children, Lynn Deuterman and her husband Jack, Jamestown, NC, John Nobles and companion Sylvia Grisez, Warren, and Denise Miller and her husband James, also of Warren; two grandchildren, Gregory Miller and his fiance’ Maria Nelson, Warren, and Julie Miller, Warren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2005 by her husband, Earl R. Nobles, whom she married on January 5, 1946; a sister, Naomi Foster, and a brother, William Snyder.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.

As Julia was an avid reader, the family suggests memorial donations be made to the Warren Public Library, 205 Market Street, Warren, PA. 16365
