William E. Morrison, 80 of North Huntingdon, passed away at 5 am, Sunday, January 12, 2014 in Cedars Senior Care, Monroeville. William was born November 2, 1933 in Pittsburgh, a son of the late William E. and Virginia Daschbach Morrison. He was married to Helen C. (Clinger) Morrison, who passed away on February 14, 2012.

William was a retired engineer with Eichleay Engineering, Point Breeze, where he had been employed for over 20 years. He was graduate of Tidioute High School, enjoyed sports, and was an avid reader. A veteran during peacetime following the Korean Conflict, he served as a Specialist 3rd Class with the US Army.

William will be sadly missed by his loving family; his two sons, Thomas Morrison and his wife Jeannine Prokop of Herndon, VA and Scott Morrison and his wife Tracy of Pittsburgh; his three grandchildren, Stephanie, Grace, and Stuart; his halfsister, Betsy Morrison Linhart and her husband Don of Leechburg; and his halfbrother, Robert “Bob” Morrison of Delmont. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Henrikson; and a halfbrother, Rick Morrison.

Personalized arrangements were under the professional supervision of the Westmoreland Cremation Service (1877Cremate www.westmorelandcremationservice.com). At the request of the decedent, there will be no viewing. Private inurnment will take place in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
