GIRLS HOOPS: Lady Wolverines fall

The Sheffield girls basketball team fell to Brockway, 37-21, on Friday night at Sheffield High School.

The Wolverines started out in a close half with Brockway, trailing bby two points at the half.

“I’m glad that everyone stepped up and played like a team,” said Sheffield coach Jaime Ely. “Missed foul shots is what killed us.”

Sheffield was 8-of-20 from the line.

Ely noted significantly improved performances from Mariah Fitzgerald and Tierra Hansen among others. Sheffield will be back in action Monday at North Clarion.
