Calvary Baptist 62, Tidioute Charter 43

Tidioute was defeated by visiting Calvary Baptist, 62-43, Friday night at Tidioute Community Charter School.

With the loss, the Bulldogs are now 0-6 on the year.

“Our guards are playing fantastic right now. I can’t say enough about their ability to control the game and get the ball in to our big men,” said Tidioute coach Dave Manning. “The problem is, we keep getting beat inside. Their big man probably had 20 of his points on offensive rebounds; you take those away and it’s a one-point game.”

Calvary Baptist’s Jared McGrillis led all scorers with 28 points, and teammate Colton Kapper added 16.

Tidioute’s Ben Kightlinger racked up 15 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists on the night. Brian Faulkner added 12 points and six assists, and Gus Martin had eight steals in the first half before leaving the game due to illness.

The Bulldogs will return to action on Monday when they host Erie Bethel.
