GIRLS HOOPS: Lady Dragons move to final

SENECA – Warren won every quarter and defeated East for the second time in a week, to open the Cranberry Tournament with a 54-36 win Friday.

The Lady Dragons (5-1) will play Cranberry – same as last year – in the tournament final.

“We started off flat,” said Warren coach Lisa Ruhlman, “but we saw some different things (from East this time) and we adjusted well.”

D.J. Hahn had four 3-pointers and 25 points to lead the way, Paige Wilson a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds, and Alexa Bupp seven points, 10 rebounds and seven assists.

“McKenzie Merenick did a nice job on defense,” added Ruhlman.
