‘Connection’ has Christmas luncheon

Warren Women’s Connection recently hosted a “Christmas Gift” luncheon. Favors were tiny gift-wrapped boxes.

Linda Fanton of Wellsville, N.Y., was the speaker. She was a stay at home mom, so all the kids gathered at their home. She and her husband began attending a neighborhood church, and Linda began attending Stonecroft small group Bible studies (Friendship Bible coffees). She learned that God loves us unconditionally and that we must ask God to forgive us and invite Him to come into our lives, she said. This gives us our reservation for Heaven, and is necessary in raising children. Teens want understanding love. When Linda’s adult children returned home, they did not need mothering, only unconditional love and understanding. Knowing God accepts us in this manner allows parents to unconditionally love and forgive their children.

Birdie Crandall described the meaning of the candles on the Advent wreath. Chris and Dave Johnson led guests in group singing of Christmas carols. Dave accompanied on the accordion.

Yvonne Lee read a letter of thanks from the Pennsylvania Soldiers and Sailors Home in Erie for the knitted items from the Connection.

The Connection meets the second Tuesday of each month. All women are welcome to this Christian, non-denominational gathering for lunch. There are no dues.
