Ruff Riders 4-H Club members entertain at Rouse Suites

The Sugar Grove Ruff Riders horse 4-H club held its third meeting at the Rouse Suites with 27 residents attending. The group had sing-along caroling by everyone, accompanied by 4-H dad Ed Bennett on viola, and 4-H grandma Melanie Bennett on piano. Other special entertainment was provided by Melissa and Katelyn Bennett; piano solos, Abbie and Katie Downs; guitar and duet, Katelyn Carpenter; guitar and trio with Aubrey Younger and Lindsey Carpenter, and Rachel Dietsch; ballet. The club also served cider and homemade cookies.

The Sugar Grove Ruff Riders sold baked goods and collected tips at Hoagie Hut and New Beginnings.

The club’s next meeting will be held Jan. 6 at Mission Covenant Church in Sugar Grove at 6 p.m. The club will hold its Christmas celebration complete with a potluck dinner and games, according to reporter Aubrey Younger.
