ACC has again this year been hosting Santa’s House for area children. The last day it will be open for 2013 is on Tuesday, December 10. Children, grades kindergarten, 1 & 2 and preschool age, will visit Santa with their school classroom between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. It’s the season for special memories!
The ACC Christmas Program is Wed., Dec. 11. It begins with dinner at noon in the dining room followed by entertainment by the “Reflections” girls’ harmony group plus Comedian Meg Maley presentation “When you’re smiling, the whole world smiles with you.” Seating is limited so reservations are a must by calling 723-3237.
Exciting day trips: A Nostalgic Christmas at Riverside Inn, Dec. 17; TAWC bus to Erie, Salamanca trip, Dec. 18.
Great overnight and extended trips: New York City trippers will leave CRI lot at 7 a.m., Dec. 10; Explore Britain & Ireland trip, June 5-20. This is a special reminder to all trippers that the ACC Trip Policy is available at the center.
ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. Hot lunches or light alternative lunches are available Monday-Friday at noon. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunch is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Take-outs available.
The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers Dec. 9-13: stuffed peppers Monday; fish Tuesday; chicken alfredo Wednesday; hot dogs Thursday; and breakfast for lunch Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations. Menu is subject to change based on availability.
