Robert W. Erickson, 85, of Warren, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013, after a three year stay at the Rouse Home in Youngsville. He was born October 11, 1928, the son of the late Oscar and Anna Johnson Erickson.
A lifelong Warren resident, Bob was employed by PA American Water, retiring after 45 years of service. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a life member of the G. H. Joseph Pendleton Detachment of the Marine Corps League. Bob enjoyed taking care of the yard, working on small motors and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his two children, James R. Erickson, of Alpharetta, GA, and Lois Theuret, and husband Paul, of Warren; two grandsons, Bradley Theuret, and his fiance Nicole Hall, and Darren Theuret; one sister, Delores Maxwell, and husband Richard, of Louisville, KY; and one sisterinlaw, Carol Erickson, Urbana, IL. He is also survived by cousins and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife C. Louanna “Tootie” Erickson in April 2003, after 39 years of marriage; his sister, Lucille Hinderliter, and brother, Donald Erickson.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Toys for Tots program at the Marine Corps League, 951 Jackson Avenue Ext., Warren, PA 16365.
A private service will be held at a later date.
