Eva L. Woolsey Yeskey, 91, of Sinclairville completed her earthly journey at her home and went to her heavenly home Thursday (November 28, 2013) following a brief, courageous battle with cancer. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend and will be missed and remembered for her loving kindness.

She was born April 25, 1922 in Greene County (Greeneville), TN, the daughter of the late Robert Taylor & Lura Broyles Woolsey.

After graduating from Greeneville School of Commerce, Eva was employed by the US Navy in Chicago IL. She went on to work in Washington DC Treasury Department and later as Secretary to the Chief of Civilian Personnel at US Coast Guard Headquarters. After moving to the area, she worked and retired from the Jamestown Credit Bureau.

Surviving are four children: Faye (Jerry) Wills of Mosheim, TN, Charles Yeskey (Valerie Francis) of Jamestown, Paul (Kris) Yeskey of Frewsburg, Priscilla (Rodney) Shoup of Gerry; a daughterinlaw ShirleyAnn Yeskey of Portland, NY; thirteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren. Also surviving are dear friends, Ann Wiltsie Lanzel of Lander, Pa., and Doris Underwood of Sinclairville.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter E. Yeskey (1999); and oldest son Fred Yeskey (2006); four brothers and three sisters all of Greeneville TN.

The family would like to thank Dr. Patrick Collins and Dr. Ryan White for their compassionate care.

A committal service will be held at 2 pm Saturday (12/7) at Warren Memorial Park and a celebration of life at 3 pm at Lander United Methodist Church. Officiating will be her grandson, Rev. Mark Wills of Greeneville TN.
