Music Boosters

Dennis Markham was the winner of the “Mountains of Groceries” raffled off by the Sheffield Music Boosters. The boosters wish to thank everyone who donated to this event and also thanks to those who bought tickets for a chance to win.

Angel Tree Distribution

The Ruth M. Smith Center Angel Tree is on display at the Sheffield Pharmacy. Anyone who is interested in purchasing a gift for one of the residents at the Ruth M. Smith Center stop over at the Sheffield Pharmacy and pick an angel from the tree. The pharmacy has lots of Christmas gift ideas, so you may find something right there for that special angel you have chosen.

Positions Available

In Township

A cleaning position and a part-time library worker are needed in the township. Anybody interested, contact the office at 968-3906.

The cleaning position is 20 hours or less a month and includes cleaning the entire building including the municipal authority office, the Fitch Disposal office, the township office and conference room, stairways and hallways and the library.

The part-time library position is around 20 hours a month as well. Anybody interested can pick up an application outside the township office on the second floor of the building or contact the office at the number above.

Shop Small

in Sheffield Today

Today in downtown will be busy with the Small Business Saturday festivities. The Main Street Artisans will be opened and a 15 percent discount will be given for any one item in the store. At the Allegheny Cellars Winery a 25 percent off any one wine accessory (except Kelly Hunt glasses) will be offered this day and through Dec. 8. Mary Anne at Presents and Posies will be giving a 15 percent off any one item which will be valid through Dec. 20 in her second-floor Christmas shop. Come to Sheffield and visit all three stores and receive discounts during the Small Business Saturday, Nov. 30.

Also during Small Business Saturday at the Sheffield Lions Club will be the following local vendors: Kelly’s Sewn Creations, Origami Owl- Stephanie Lindberg, Pampered Chef-Sara Korchak, BeautiControl-Jenelle Johnson and Natalie Arnold, Peggy’s Handmade Jewelry, Artsy Stuff with Mary Coudriet, Thirty-one-Kristy Rieck and Melanie’s Sew Shop and Sundae Toppings and more vendors are being added daily to this group at the Lion’s Den from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Nov.30.

Sheffield Lions Club

Santa Claus comes to the Lion’s Den on Thursday, Dec. 5 from 6 to 8 p.m.. Cookies and cocoa will be served and you can also take a ride around town on the horse-drawn sleigh.
