Silver Winds concert Dec. 1 in Warren

Silver Winds Flute Choir will present “Musical Memories” at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at First United Methodist Church, 200 Market St., Warren. Selections will include “Memories of East Tennessee,” a three movement composition that recalls a visit to Cades Cove in Tennessee’s Smokey Mountains; “Siqoq” from Secret Language of Snow; and the familiar “Skater’s Waltz.” The program also will include other winter and Christmas favorites: “In the Bleak Midwinter,” “Let it Snow,” “Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer,” “Wexford Carol,” “Up on the Housetop,” “Angels We Have Heard on High,” “Still, still, still,” “Go Tell it on the Mountain” and more.

Silver Winds members Penny Chaffee, Becky Darbee, Betty Fitzgerald, Pat Murphy, Laura Whitten and Olivia Zapel will be joined by guest member Kylie Anderson (from Presque Isle Flute Choir) for this free performance. For more information, contact Becky Darbee at 688-2054.
