Ike mat club

The Eisenhower Mat Club will hold a mandatory parents meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday in room 309 at Eisenhower High School. All parents of high school and junior high wrestlers at Eisenhower are asked to attend.

College news

Eisenhower High School graduates Garrett Fiscus and Will Cole are members of the 2013 Allegheny Mountain College Conference (AMCC) championship Penn State Behrend men’s soccer team. Fiscus is a senior midfielder who has started 21 games – with seven assists – and Cole a sophomore goaltender with four games played.

The Lions (16-4-1) are headed back to the Division III NCAA Men’s Soccer Championships, hosting Rose Hulman (Terre Haute, Indiana) at 6 p.m. Thursday. The winner travels to Ohio Wesleyan on Saturday.

Warren Area High School graduate Kelsey Nuhfer, a two-time Capital One Academic All-American swimmer for California University of Pennsylvania, won the 50-yard freestyle in 24.4 seconds Saturday at the SPIRE Institute in Geneva, Ohio,

Sheffield High School graduate Nick Bonavita had six tackles on defense in Juniata College’s 27-14 win Saturday over Moravian.

Eisenhower High School graduate Kelsey Repke had two assists and 13 digs for Pitt-Bradford’s women’s volleyball team last week in a 3-1 win over Medaille in the first round of the AMCC Championships. She added 22 digs in a 3-2 semifinal win over Franciscan to reach the finals.

Youngsville High School graduate Abel Robinault placed second on the California University of Pa. men’s cross country team with a 30th overall finish the 8k in 32:08 Saturday at the NCAA Atlantic Regional Championships in Lock Haven.

Warren Area High School graduate Katie Spade was second overall at the AMCC Championship women’s cross country race on Saturday in Buffalo, N.Y. She finished the 6k in 23:28 as the Penn State Behrend women finished 1-2 individually and won the team title.
