AARP safe driving courses are being offered this month. The full 8-hour course is Tues. & Wed., Nov. 5 & 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Instructor, Larry Jackson. The 4-hour refresher course is Thurs., Nov. 7, from 8:30a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Instructor, Charles Merroth. Cost for AARP members is $12, for non-members, $14 and free this month for all veterans and their spouses. Call 723-3237 to register for this helpful class. Completion of these courses entitle drivers to a discount on their car insurance.
Plans for the ACC annual Christmas Bazaar sponsored by the Auxiliary on November 22 & 23 are being made. Do you want to rent vendor table space or volunteer to help serve the chili & pie lunch or to be a greeter/guide at the door? If you’re interested, please call 723-3237 and a congenial receptionist will find just the right spot for you. No need to sign up as a shopper!

ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. M-F with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Mon. & Wed. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. Hot lunches or light alternative lunches are available Monday-Friday at noon. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunch is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Take-outs available.
The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers Nov. 4-8: stuffed peppers Monday; fish Tuesday; spaghetti Wednesday; ham Thursday; breakfast for lunch Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations. Menu is subject to change based on availability.
