WGH “Crusin’ For Cancer” Dice Run

Dear editor:

On September 28, the Warren General Hospital Auxiliary sponsored their second annual “Cruisin’ for Cancer” Pink Ribbon Dice Run. The weather was perfect for the ride and the Auxiliary was able to add to their $150,000 pledge for the WGH Cancer Care Center renovation project.

Special mention needs to go to the following area individuals and businesses who donated to the success of this Hospital Auxiliary benefit project: Aiello’s Restaurant in Ridgeway, the Fuel On Gas Station in Emporium, and the Hub Gas Station in Smethport, who all provided stops. Donated prizes came from: Faith Thomas of Warren Curves, The Basket Company, Jodi Bevevino and Debbie Gray, and Suppa’s Shell Gas Station.

Thanks also to all the Auxiliary Board Members who donated their time at the registration table, at the various dice stops, and to those who provided desserts for the evening meal and to Susan Nosel who checked in all the participants and tallied all the scores.

A very special thank you goes to the Warren Eagles Club who provided the use of their club for the registration site and dinner. Willie Dexter and his staff provided a delicious meal to end a perfect day! The Auxiliary couldn’t accomplish its many fundraising goals without the help of wonderful people and area groups like these.

Kudos to all!

Sue Perrin, WGH Auxiliary Publicity Chairman
