Allegheny Center for the Arts has announced the winners for the ACA/WCCBI calendar contest for November. First place goes to Allan Branthover for his photo titled “Natural Reflection.” Second place goes to Linda Gross for her photo “Bird’s Eye View.” Third place goes to Tamara Pudder for her photo “Pumpkin Time.” Pudder is a new student in the basic digital photo class. December winners and the cover winner will be announced soon. The center would also like to encourage those who would like to signup for the second fall session of classes to do that soon. Classes start Nov. 4 and go through Dec. 12. There will be a break in classes for the holidays; they will begin again Jan. 6. Trunk or treat
The community is invited to participate with First Lutheran Church’s second Annual Trunk or Treat Night on Thursday, Oct. 31, from 6 to 8 p.m. Parents are welcome to bring their children to the church’s parking lot where there will be cars adorned with family friendly decorations. Kids will be able to trick or treat at each trunk. In addition to the distribution of candy, families will be able to vote for the best trunk! There will also be hot dogs, cookies, games, cocoa and coffee available in the church’s fellowship hall. First Lutheran is located at 109 W. Third Ave. Call 723-6450 for additional information. This will be a fun, family-friendly, safe place to celebrate Halloween.

Warren Area High School Class of 1962 will meet for breakfast at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 30. All classmates welcome.
Harvest Carnival set
A free “Fall Harvest Carnival” will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, at Calvary Chapel, 8160 Market St., Russell. The evening will include carnival games, candy, popcorn, balloons and lots of fun. This will be a fun and safe alternative to door-to-door trick-or-treating. Children are invited to come in costume.
Warren High School Class of 1984 will have a reunion planning meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Cornerstone restaurant, Pennsylvania Ave. E., Warren.
Men to breakfast
Warren High School Class of 1951 will have a men’s breakfast at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Perkins Restaurant in Warren. Members should note the change of day and should remember to take their 1951 Dragon yearbooks.
