Freshmen football

Solomon Gross had three more touchdowns and Warren’s freshmen football team beat Corry, 24-18, on Thursday.

Along with his six-yard touchdown run, 16-yard touchdown pass from Nick DeSimone and 52-yard run, Colbin Constable added a 13-yard touchdown run in the win.

Alex Weston had two interceptions on defense, and both the entire defense and offensive line were keys to the victory.

Warren finishes 6-1.

Jr. high grid

The Beaty-Warren Middle School seventh grade football team finished the season with a record of 6-0-1 after a 26-0 win over Union City Thursday at War Memorial Field.

Griffin Suppa had two rushing touchdowns and hauled in a pass from Jake Kupchella for a third score, and Austyn Cummings added a rushing touchdown of his own for the Dragons. Kupchella also added an interception on the defensive side of the ball. Warren used a strong performance from the offensive line and a team effort on defense to close out the undefeated season.

Jr. high hoops

Beaty’s seventh-grade girls basketball team finished 16-0 on the season with a 36-6 win at Bradford on Thursday. Scoring for Beaty included Laura Lucks with 12 points, Kadee Merenick and Gracie Wood eight each and Sierra Matson two.

Beaty’s eighth-grade girls basketball team finished 14-3 overall after a 33-28 win at Bradford on Thursday. For Beaty, Rachel Wilson led with 12 points, Taylor Lucks added seven, Margo Loutzenhiser six, Chelsea Wees four, Morgan Lupole three and Lyndsey Goldthwaite one.
