Jr. high hoops

Beaty’s seventh-grade girls basketball team remains undefeated with one game left in the season after a 30-20 win over J.S. Wilson on Saturday. Ceci Citro had 11 points for Beaty, Sierra Matson six, Gracie Wood five, Francesca Beuger four, Kadee Merenick three and Laura Lucks one.

J.S. Wilson edged Beaty’s eighth-graders, 24-19. For Beaty, Margo Loutzenhiser had eight points, Rachel Wilson seven, and Chelsea Wees and Abby Bouchard two each.

Eisenhower defeated Tidioute Charter, 34-4, on Saturday. For Ike, Savannah McKown with 13 points, Ashlee VanGuilder 10, Payton Mineweaser four, Haley Spicer two, Cameran Edwards two, Anna McJunkin two, and Sandra Richards one. Allexa Morgan had two points for TCCS, and Annah Burt and Grayson Fors one each.

Kinzua soccer

The Kinzua Flatt U-12 boys soccer team went to 7-0 on the season with an 8-0 win over Grove City. Caleb Lindell had three goals, Devon Navaroli two, Damon Navaroli two, and Wesley Kiehl one for Kinzua. Ryon Flatt had two assists, Mitchell Grosch two and Kiehl one. Luke Smelko, A.J. Seyler, Ben Berdine and Thomas Bablak played well offensively, and Alex Nebinski, John Page and Grosch minimized scoring opportunities on defense. Goalies were Bablak and Nebinski.

Flatt also defeated Mercer on Oct. 13, with Tyler Gustafson scoring the winning goal.
