Theft. Conewango Police said on Oct 10, at the Warren Walmart, an unidentified white male possibly in his middle to late 20’s concealed $509.64 worth of computer games and Wii console games on his person and exited the store without paying for the merchandise. The white male left the store parking lot as a passenger in a large white 4 door pick-up truck with a large square toolbox in the back. The truck could possibly have some insignia on the side doors. Anyone with information is asked to contact township police or crimestoppers.
Theft. Conewango Police said on Oct 10, Willard Hebner, 48, Warren, removed $40.00 out of the cash register while working at Bob Evans Restaurant and subsequently left the restaurant. Misdemeanor 3 charge of Theft by Unlawful Taking have been filed with District Justice Bauer’s Office and further Court action pending.
Theft. On Oct. 16, a representative of the Starbrick Fire Dept. advised that on or about Sept. 9, two wooden picnic tables were removed from their pavilion. The tables are valued at $150. Those responsible were operating a pick-up truck of unknown make and model, turquoise in color with a dark blue stripe down the sides. Anyone with information is asked to contact Township Police at 814-726-0725.
Harassment. Warren State Police said on Oct 11, at a residence on Townline Road, a known women, 54, was attempting to pick her mother up off the ground after she fell down. While the known female was picking her up a known female, 56, shoved her 3 times and spit in her face, according to police.
Theft. Warren-based state police received a report of a stolen steel trailer frame from Curtis Contracting and Services. Following an investigation that ran between Aug. 30 and Sept 20, police determined, Burdette Guy Thomas III, 37, of Warren County Jail, had cut the frame and hauled it from the Huckabone Lane location to a scrap yard in Jamestown, NY. Receipts were obtained and interviews were conducted verifying the Defendant stole the trailer frame. Thomas was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking and Receiving Stolen Property. Further court action is pending.
Pine Grove Twp.
Crash. Richard Haskins, 47, Russell, was traveling North on SR 1015, Akeley Rd. in his GMC Acadia,when he traveled off the east side of the roadway entering a ditch traveling approx. 150 feet prior to impacting a culvert with Haskins undercarriage. Haskins continued to travel North approx. 240 feet before crossing the roadway and entering a ditch on the west side of the roadway, traveling approx. 30 feet, continuing to the point of a final stop. This incident is under investigation according to State Police.
Crash. Warren-based state police report on Oct. 16 at 6 p.m., Charles A. Rounds, 68, of Warren, was traveling east on SR 666 when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve in the roadway. His vehicle struck the guiderail on the Southside of the road, continued across the roadway and struck the guiderail on the Northside of the roadway. The vehicle continued east across the centerline, struck the southern guiderail a second time before striking the northern guiderail again and coming to rest. Rounds was charged with Driving at a Safe Speed. Rounds and his four passengers were transported to Warren General Hospital for treatment of injuries of unknown severity.
