Eucharistic

Adoration

Make a Difference Day Eucharistic Adoration will be held at Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Come and make a difference with your prayers.

Chapman trail day

Chapman State Park will have a trail work day from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. Volunteers are welcome. If you’re a hiker or skier you know that great trails help make great parks. Trails just don’t happen though, and many parks rely on volunteers to keep trails open. Penny Run Trail needs some improvements before cross country skiing season begins. Over the years parts of the trail have begun to collect water and become saturated so it needs to be cleared and drained. Join the park naturalist to get outdoors, get dirty and get that water off the trail! Please bring a lunch, work gloves, shovels and rakes. Meet at the park office.

DAC to meet

The Kanoagoa Chapter, Daughters of the American Colonists, held its fall meeting at Cable Hollow Golf Club with the state regent Phoebe Conner and state vice regent Star Lehman in attendance. Conner presented a talk on the chapter, and “Honor Our Veterans” was also celebrated with donations to a veteran’s fund in Warren made by members. The committee included Eleanor Johnson, Pauline Sarvis, Bonnie Beyer, Arlene Curtis and Lucinda Miller who made a quilt wall hanging for the state regent to remember her trip to Warren.

Guest speaker

Doug Jewell of North Carolina will speak at House of Worship, 112 Conewango Ave., Warren, at 7 p.m. tonight, Friday, Oct. 18. The public is welcome; bring a friend.
