Polka Sunday

The Slovenian Polka Boosters will dance from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20, at the St. Marys Moose Club. Bobby Kravos and The Boys in the Band of Willoughby, Ohio, will provide music for all types of dancing. The public is invited. For information call John or Pat Moore at 837-9218.

Newton Club to meet

Newton Dinner Club will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at Richard’s Restaurant in Youngsville. This will be the last meeting this year. Participants should take a food item to donate to a local food bank.

Placement testing

PKP to meet

Pennsylvania Kinzua Pathways (PKP) will kick off the historical awareness phase of its project with a meeting at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 23, in the Slater Room of the Warren Public Library. PKP will once again team up with Pitt-Bradford’s history division. There will be members of the historical society and the library reference department at the meeting. The public is welcome as are representatives from other local historical groups. This will be a work session to layout the framework of the project.

PARSE to meet

The Pennsylvania Association of Retired State Employees (PARSE), Barton-Schuler Chapter, will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17, at Perkins Restaurant in Warren. Members will discuss future meetings and the Christmas party. William Burlingame, northwest vice president for PARSE, plans to attend this meeting. Call 726-0728 for more information.
