Luck shoot set

Sugar Grove American Legion Post 758 will host its annual fall Luck Shoot from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13. Ages 12 and older are invited to attend and shoot. Cost will be $2 per shot. Prizes will include turkeys, hams and steaks. A gun raffle also will be held.

Class to lunch

Warren High School Class of 1941 will have lunch at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Cable Hollow Golf Course. For reservations, call Autumn Doherty at 723-7426.

Circle Eight to dance Saturday

The Circle Eight Square Dance Club will dance from 8 to 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, in the auditorium at Warren State Hospital, North Warren. Caller will be Len Dougherty.

Polka Sunday

The Slovenian Polka Boosters will dance from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13, at the Ridgway Moose Club. Dick Tady DTO of Springdale, Pa., will provide music for all types of dancing. The public is invited. For information call John or Pat Moore at 837-9218.

Doll club to meet

The Kinzua Country Dollers doll club will meet at 10:15 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Warren Public Library. A Barbie Halloween party by Barb Roth will be featured. New members are welcome.

Alpaca group formed

In honor of National 4H Week, Oct. 6-12, Tom and April Cox have announces the start of the first 4H Alpaca Club in Warren County. The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m. at their farm located at 8914 Oil Creek Rd., Grand Valley. Club members will learn how to care and train an alpaca for obstacle course and showmanship competitions and learn about fiber arts using the soft luxurious fiber from alpacas. Warren High School Class of 1948 will have a women’s lunch at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Miller’s Grove (Shorty’s), Frewsburg, N.Y. Participants can carpool from Big Lots parking lot, Warren Mall, at 11:45 a.m.
