VOLLEYBALL: WCCS wins 26th straight regular-season match

Warren County Christian School won the program’s 26th straight win dating back to last season on Friday, and is closing in on the 2013 New Penn Christian Conference title with two more conference games next week.

“The Sheffield Tournament (last weekend) helped motivate them to push to be better,” said WCCS coach Monica Kerr, whose Lions beat Jamestown Bethel, 25-3, 25-11, 25-7 on Friday.

Allyssa Kerr had 21 service points, 12 aces and five kills for WCCS, which has been playing three games a week for the past couple of weeks. Jess Lauffenburger had 14 points, seven aces and three kills; Kaitlin Weidner five kills and eight assists; Whitney Poindexter nine points, three aces and three kills; Caitlin McCall seven points and five aces; Desirae Kerr eight assists, and; Hunter Uplinger three points, two aces and four kills.
