Jeffrey Russell Ishman, age 15, of Yankee Bush Road, died unexpectedly on Monday, September 30, 2013 at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, Pa., Jeffrey was born September 7, 1998 in Warren, Pa., the son of Darby A. and Justine L. Lindell Ishman.
There are many words to describe Jeffrey, but those that come easiest to those who knew him and loved him would be, big hearted, compassionate to others, exceptionally polite, and quick witted. His sister might say even a bit sarcastic. He was known to love animals, enjoy gaming, enjoyed the outdoors, to include camping, frogging at the family pond, and just being in the woods. He also enjoyed spending many weekends with his grandparents.
In addition to his parents, Jeffrey is survived by his older sister, Kaitlin, at home; maternal grandmother, Debra Nobles; paternal grandparents, Richard and Carol Ishman; maternal great grandmother, Olive Mae Lindell; and paternal great grandmother, Florence Vandenburg; uncle, Jared Lindell, and his wife Karen; aunt, Heather Cataldo and her husband Gerald; cousins, Tucker and Bryn, and Logan, Chandler, Cassidy, and Delaney, along with numerous other aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Jeffrey was preceded in death by his grandfather, Jeffrey Lindell; his great grandfather, Kenneth Lindell; great grandfather, Louis Nobles, and his great grandmother, Corinne Helga Nobles. He was also preceded in death by his friend and canine companion “Copper”.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, October 3, 20213 at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, Pa., 16365.
The funeral will be held 11:00 am, on Friday, October 4, at the First Lutheran Church, 109 W. Third Ave., Warren, Pa. with The Rev. Jeffrey Ewing, officiating. Burial will be in Foster Cemetery, Russell on Friday, October 4 at 11:00 am.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made at any Northwest Savings Bank location to the Debra Nobles / Jeffrey R. Ishman Memorial Fund.
