GIRLS SOCCER: Dragons fall to 1-2 in region

ERIE – Despite a 2-0 loss at Villa Maria on Friday, Warren girls soccer coach said the Dragons played their best game of the season.

“They all put a good effort in,” said Domville, whose Dragons are 2-8 overall and 1-2 in Region 4, and play early Saturday at Jamestown in a short turnaround.

“Everybody was working as a unit,” said Domville. “A big improvement.”

Villa Maria (3-0-1 in Region 4) didn’t score until 17 minutes left in the second half, said Domville.

“(Defenders, Danielle Smith, Katlyn Adams, Gabby Enserro and Emma Kridler)… they did a real good job in the first half, especially,” said Domville.

And it wasn’t as if Warren didn’t have opportunities, he said.

Summer Rosenthal, Morgan Danielson and Kaitlin Ishman created opportunities for Warren.

In addition, Justine Lasecki had several saves in her first varsity start at goalie.

Warren’s junior varsity team lost, 3-0.
