Wesley Cochran graduated magna cum laude from DuBois Business College in the John Russo Movie Making program in March 2013. He is a graduate of Sheffield High School. Cochran was on the president’s list every term and received the Outstanding Graduate Award. He is the son of Mike and Connie Cochran-Barr of Sheffield.

Patrick Mulligan of Warren received a master of science in education degree from Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., at its summer commencement ceremony on Sept. 8.

Jamie Nicklas, daughter of John Nicklas and Barb Sullivan of Warren, graduated from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania in May 2013 with a bachelor of science degree in biology and a minor in psychology. Nicklas was on the dean’s list all four years while at Edinboro. She graduated magna cum laude and was awarded the Outstanding Departmental Senior award for the Biology and Health Services Department. She was a member of the Edinboro Equestrian Team where she served as captain and a member of Beta Beta Beta Biological Honor Society where she served as vice president her senior year. She is currently employed by Abraxas Youth and Family Services.

Jessica Leasure of Russell was named to the dean’s list at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College, for the summer 2013 term. Leasure, a junior, is studying nursing. Students must earn at least a 3.5 grade average to be added to the dean’s list.

Jamestown Business College has announced the president’s and dean’s lists for the summer 2013 term. Local students named to the president’s list (with a grade average of 3.90 – 4.00) were: John D. Arp, Sheffield; Rita A. Brinkley, Warren; Aaron M. Burdick, Warren; Timothy C. Snavley, Tidioute; and Pamela S. Wimer, Clarendon.

Tracie Reynolds of Youngsville was one of 10 graduates of Bradford Regional Medical Center’s School of Radiology honored during a ceremony Aug. 29 at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford. Reynolds, who has completed the 24-month School of Radiology program, which is part of the Imaging Services Department at BRMC, received the Clinical Excellence Scholarship from the Bradford Hospital Auxiliary. That scholarship will enable Reynolds to continue her studies for another year and thereby earn a bachelor of science degree in radiology. Reynolds is a 2010 graduate of Youngsville High School.

Ryan M. Arthur of Warren, who attends World Campus, and Jessica L. Leasure of Russell, who attends Penn State Erie, The Behrend College.

Three local students graduated from the Pennsylvania State University after the summer term:

Timothy D. Benedict of Pittsfield earned a bachelor of science degree in forest science at the University Park Campus.

Nicholas R. Humphrey of Youngsville earned a bachelor of science degree in kinesiology from the University Park Campus.

Noelle K. Lyszaz of Youngsville graduated with distinction and earned a bachelor of science degree in management from Penn State Erie, The Behrend College.

Maria Miller, daughter of Walter and Betsy Miller of Warren, has been recognized for superior academic achievement by the National Society of High School Scholars. She is a student at Warren Area High School. Students chosen for this honor have demonstrated outstanding leadership, scholarship and community commitment. Membership entitles Miller to scholarship opportunities, academic competitions, events, resources and more.

Susan Rissel of Tidioute and Laura Myers of Grand Valley were named to the dean’s list at Ashford University, Clinton, Iowa, for the summer term.
