Do you have concerns about your insurance supplements? Mary will be here on Monday, Sept. 23 to answer questions and concerns. Mary comes to us with a wealth of information so please join us.

Our center received a check for participating in the Prime Time Health program run by the state. The center offers blood sugar testing, blood pressure check, educational health programs and an exercise program running for over 10 years now.

This is Active Aging Week (from Sept. 23 thru 27) at ACC. In our quest to stay fit, on Monday, Sept. 23, we will walk from ACC at 12:45 p.m. to the Historical Society building on Fourth Ave. for a tour and then walk thru the downtown Historic District. On Tuesday you can learn how to do Salsa Dancing at 12:45 p.m. at ACC. Healthy Steps in Motion exercise class meets at 11 a.m. and Bocce meets at Warren Mall at 2 p.m. on Tuesday & Thursday. On Tuesday & Wednesday the line dancing class meets with the Allegheny Belles at ACC at 12:45 p.m. for some foot stompin’ fun. Wednesday is a surprise activity at the YMCA at 11 a.m. Thursday a Curves staff member will demo some smooth “moves” for staying fit at 1 p.m. On Friday there’s a bean bag toss at 1 p.m. to close the week. There’s no excuse for being unfit!

For costs and sign-up, please call 723-3237. ACC membership is required for these trips. This is a special reminder to all trippers that the ACC Trip Policy is available at the Center.

ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. Hot lunches or light alternative lunches are available Mondays-Fridays at noon. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunch is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Take-outs available.


The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers Sept. 23-27: chef salad Monday; hamburger Tuesday; macaroni and tuna salad Wednesday; chicken tenders Thursday; breakfast for lunch Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations. Menu is subject to change based on availability.
