The Warren County Genealogical Society will hold its first meeting of the season at 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 23, at First Lutheran Church, Warren, with an open forum and discussion about the society’s cemetery project. It will be a chance for members and guests to renew friendships, share recent discoveries, and seek assistance with roadblocks in their research. Yard sale Saturday
First Church of God will have a youth fund-raiser, a trash and treasure sale, at the church from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, at the church, 1111 Madison Ave., Warren. Proceeds will go to help the youth group go to the state youth convention. Many items will be available, including chairs, a piano, a dining room table set, a desk, specialty Christmas ornaments, a new garage door and more. There also will be hot dogs and hamburgers for sale from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with chips and drink.
Newton Club to meet today
Newton Dinner club will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at McKinney Commons located at Pitt Campus in Titusville. Participants should take a food item to donate to a local food bank.
The fall meeting of the Hale Cemetery Association will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, at the home of Debbie Tuller, 679 Akeley Rd., Russell. Lot owners and family are welcome. Call 757-4361 for further information.
