Fire Marshall rules on blaze; City police seek information

The fire that blazed through the former Glendora coffee plant Monday on Warren’s west side has been declared arson.

According to City of Warren Police Detective Anthony Chimenti, the declaration was made after a Pennsylvania State Police fire marshal investigated the scene with local officers on Tuesday.

City police were among those who responded to the fire shortly before 9 p.m. Monday. “Upon arrival, officers found the structure fully involved with smoke and fire,” Chimenti said. On Tuesday, “officers were able to inspect the damage of the building and found it completely unsafe to enter.”

“The City of Warren Police Department is looking for information into this incident,” he said.

Anyone with information about the fire is asked to contact Chimenti at 723-2700 or Warren County Crime Stoppers at 800-832-7463.
