Jr. high hoops

Beaty’s seventh-grade girls basketball remained undefeated with a 26-6 win over Titusville. Laura Lucks and Ceci Citro led Beaty with eight points each, Gracie Wood added six, and Kyla Giambrone and Lily Nebinski scored two each.

Warren’s eighth-graders are 9-2 after a 34-14 win over Titusville. Rachel Wilson had 12 points for Beaty, Margo Loutzenhiser 10, Lily Morse four, and Lyndsey Goldthwaite, Morgan Lupole and Taylor Lucks two each.

The Lady Eagles split a pair of junior high basketball games at Rocky Grove, winning 34-10 in the first game before dropping game number two to the Orioles. Alanna Hultberg led the game-one attack with nine points, Autumn Hultberg had seven, Paige Mineweaser four, Morgan Lawson four, Erin Dunn four, Caitlin Craig two, Maddie Cratty two, and Christina Fischer two.

In game two, Alanna Hultberg scored eleven points and Erin Dunn seven for Youngsville. Dunn hit a free throw with 10 seconds left to send the game into overtime, where the Lady Eagles were outscored 5-0 to decide the game.

Ike football

The Eisenhower Football Boosters will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in room 309 at Eisenhower High School. Preceding the meeting will be film from the Homecoming game on Friday vs. Iroquois. All parents, players are fans are welcome.

Schedule change

Warren’s high school volleyball matches at Corry, originally scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday, September 26, have been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 25, beginning with junior varsity.

Special Olympics

Warren County Special Olympics Bowling will begin at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Riverside Lanes. Bowling dates are Sept. 21 and 28, October 12, 19 and 26, and November 2 and 9.

Hunter safety

His Way Archers, 31 Water St., Jamestown, N.Y., will hold a New York State Hunter Safety Class for archery from 6-10 p.m. Sept. 25 and 26 There is no charge. For information, call (716) 484-7046.

Horseshoes

The Warren County Horseshoes League banquet/picnic will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, at the horseshoe courts. Those attending are asked to bring a dish to pass. Meat, rolls, beverages and place settings are provided. For information, call 563-9853.
