Child safety seat check

Northwest Savings Bank, 125 Ludlow St., in Warren, will have a child safety seat check today from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In observance of Child Passenger Safety Week, Northwest Savings Bank, the City of Warren Police Department, Warren County Sheriff’s Department, the American Automobile Association and the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation are teaming up to remind families to make sure their children are properly buckled up.

Garden club to meet

Warren Garden Club members will meet on Thursday, September 19 at the Jefferson DeFrees Family Center at 1 pm. The program will be on Raising Monarch Butterflies. Jeff Tome from the Jamestown Audubon and Olivia Sechriest will share their experiences related to this interesting natural phenomenon.

BLAIR Bingo

The Allegheny Community Center will have BLAIR Bingo on Wednesday, Sept. 18 at 12:45 p.m. There will be a fashion show with fall fashions and then a few bingo games with prizes awarded by Blair. Seats are limited so please call 723-4180 to make a reservation. You do not need to be a member to come to this event and there is no cost.

Cancer support group

The Women’s Cancer Support Group will meet on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 6 p.m. in the new lobby of the Cancer Care Center. An informal chat and discussion will be held. Any woman who has had a diagnosis of cancer at any time is welcome. For more information call 726-1786.

Class to lunch

Warren Area High School Class of 1964 will meet for lunch on Friday, Sept. 20, at noon at the Cable Hollow Golf Club. All members of the class and their spouses or significant others are welcome.
