Sportsman’s Bash Sept. 21

Lander Volunteer Fire Department, 4400 Miller Hill Road, will have its first annual “Sportsman’s Bash” at the fire hall on Saturday, Sept. 21, with doors opening at 11 a.m. and games starting at noon. A $20 donation will include admission, 20 chances and food and beverage all day. There will be more than 100 cash and sporting goods raffles including guns, trapping packages, ice shacks, tree stands, fishing gear, re-loaders, gift certificates and more. This is the largest fund-raiser the fire department has undertaken. Funding comes from the public and grants to keep the equipment current. Currently, the department is funding a new rescue vehicle.
