Our center received a check for participating in the Prime Time Health program run by the state. The center offers blood sugar testing, blood pressure check, educational health programs and an exercise program running for over 10 years now.

Just a reminder to you that the Sunshine Mixed bowling league bowls every Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Riverside Lanes on Ludlow Street in Warren. The League is an enjoyable tradition at the Center. A program discussing the stages, diagnosis and treatments of Alzheimer’s Disease will be presented by Tim Juliano from Northwest Health Connections at the Allegheny Community Center in Education Room #241 on Monday, Sept. 9, at 1:30 p.m. This is part one of two. Part two will be on Nov. 18. Everyone is invited to attend this informative program.

ACC is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with extended hours until 7 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. ACC is closed for all activities and meals on legal holidays and on those days when Warren County schools are closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. Hot lunches or light alternative lunches are available Mondays-Fridays at noon. You can call your reservation to 723-3237. Bistro lunch is available on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with no reservation required. Take-outs available.
The Warren-Forest Area Agency on Aging will serve the following menu at Allegheny Community Center and other Warren-Forest centers Sept. 9-13: fish Monday; spaghetti Tuesday; chicken salad Wednesday; hot dog Thursday; chef’s buffet Friday. Locations at Marienville, Sheffield, Tidioute and Endeavor will serve menus from Monday, Tuesday and Friday for the three-day sites. Eligible participation is 60 years and older with a suggested donation of $3. Call 723-3763 for information regarding congregate meal sites or center locations. Menu is subject to change based on availability.
